The Dreamers

Did you like to build tents with the blankets as a kid? I enjoyed that very much, but the ‘blanket houes‘ are no longer so innocent to me since I’ve seen the very famous Bertolucci film ‘The Dreamers‘. The plot is based on the book written by Gilbert Adair and contains a lot of controversial scenes, which resulted in the movie being criticised for the amount of nudity presented.

imageThe story of two siblings and their American friend was a little bit confusing, but for the purpose of this post I will leave it for you to judge and move on to more essential matter – clothes. Isabelle, portrayed by Eva Green (who, by the way, next to Cara Delevingne is my beauty icon), was a classic example of the late 60’s Parisienne.

The most distinctive element – red beret. And a cigarette maybe… Isa didn’t wear a lot of clothes, but when she did – those were simple dresses and skirts, combined with flat shoes and some particular French charm 🙂

Below you can see my effort to just slightly resemble the promiscuous Isabelle (but in her fully-dressed-moments!).
